Raymond James welcomes West Virginia advisors managing over $465 million in assets

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisors Jefferey Biederman, Jr. and Andrew Burns to Raymond James & Associates (RJA) – the firm’s employee advisor channel – according to Amy Smart, Central regional director for RJA.

As co-founders of Biederman Burns Wealth Management of Raymond James, the advisors provide comprehensive wealth management to a variety of clients, including business owners, corporate retirement plans, families and those in or nearing retirement. They are joined by practice business manager Kelsey Patterson and senior client service associate Taylor Sherwood in Huntington, West Virginia, as part of RJA’s Huntington branch led by branch manager Paul Jacobson. The team arrives from Morgan Stanley where they previously managed approximately $465 million in client assets.

“Andy and I are excited to join Raymond James, which offers the environment and infrastructure that are essential to support the kind of practice we want to build. In addition to the firm’s steadfast focus on the advisor-client relationship, its leadership, stability and reputation give us confidence in our ability to service our clients in the most effective and personalized manner,” said Biederman.

As managing director, Biederman brings nearly 30 years of financial services experience to the practice. He began his career at Morgan Stanley, where he served for 27 years. A graduate of Hampden-Sydney College, Biederman strives to provide his clients with the information they need to choose suitable investment products and services for their specific financial needs, including financial planning, retirement planning, estate planning, college planning, wealth management and more.

“We put financial planning and client service at the forefront of our practice,” said Burns. “We believe that the most successful wealth management strategies focus on the goals of each individual client and family, and the independence and resources at Raymond James help us emphasize that approach.”

Burns graduated from Marshall University with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration. As senior vice president of investments, he brings nine years of financial services industry experience.

“It’s my pleasure to welcome Jeff and Andy to Raymond James. Their experience and quality relationships with their clients exemplify the culture we continue to cultivate at the firm and makes for an excellent addition to our presence in the central region,” said Smart.
